Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive is committed to observing its obligations under the Privacy Act 1988.
As part of our ongoing internal privacy compliance program, we have focussed on issues which are relevant to the handling of candidate information in the course of our relationship with our clients.
 

One such issue concerns the effectiveness of our clients to meet the requirements of the Privacy Act in handling personal information of candidates supplied by The Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive.

Client by definition of this document means any organisation requesting personal information from Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive about any potential employee, including resumes and references.

Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive clients have an obligation relating to the way in which personal information is collected, handled and used within your organisation.

Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive will not send resumes or other personal information out to any organisation without the candidate's authorisation.

Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive clients must abide by the Privacy Act and respect candidates right to confidentiality. Therefore, any organisation requesting resumes or personal details from Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive must ensure to the best of their ability.
  1. The resume or personal details of the candidate remain confidential.
  2. Any personal information on candidates are only to be distributed to those persons directly responsible in the recruitment and decision process for which the candidates personal information was submitted.
  3. Should the candidate not be successful in their application all hard copies and any electronic copies of their personal details are to be shredded or deleted permanently.
Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive's client must have appropriate processes and measures in place to prevent:
  1. Unauthorised or unlawful use or disclosure of; and
  2. Accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal information supplied to you.

At Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive's request, assist Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive to discharge its obligations under NPP 1.5 (National Privacy Principle) by including notice at any time of collecting personal information; Only use or disclosure of personal information for the purpose it was intended: and seek consent to any use or disclosure of personal information which is outside the purpose.

By accepting candidates personal information from Patent Attorney Job Board and Supreme Executive, our clients accept and will abide by the above requirement and Privacy Act 1988.
